MeridianLink LIVE! 2022 User Forum: A Recap

As the MeridianLink 2022 User Forum comes to a close, we reflect on a wonderful week shared with hundreds of customers, dozens of partners, and many colleagues & friends. During the conference, we heard from inspiring and informed speakers including our keynote presenters, thought leaders in financial services & background screening, and engaging organizational leaders.

MeridianLink Live 2022 CEO Nicolaas Vlok speaks to audience at 2022 User Forum.

Col. Nicole Malachowski, USAF (Ret.) kicked off the conference by sharing her story of challenge and triumph. A leader, a combat veteran, the first woman pilot on the Thunderbirds Air Demonstration Squadron, a White House Fellow, and an inductee into both the National Womenā€™s Hall of Fame and the Women in Aviation International Pioneer Hall of Fame, Nicoleā€™s distinguished 21-year Air Force career exceeded her wildest dreams, and she reminded us all to speak our boldest dreams and work toward them.

Our CEO, Nicolaas Vlok, opened both the MeridianLink and TazWorks conferences with his commitment to our customersā€™ growth through ongoing innovation, best-in-class platforms, and our award-winning team. Other leaders, including our COO and our CPO, detailed our organizationā€™s technological advancements aimed at helping customers meet rapidly evolving industry needs, and our CMO kept each session rolling with his humor and quick wit as the eventā€™s emcee.

Industry experts shared their deep knowledge and best practices with attendees. Terence Roche, a co-founder of Cornerstone Advisors, shared industry history and predictions based on his 40 years of experience in bank operations and consulting; Economist, former White House Senior Economic Advisor, Tiger Hedge Fund Managing Director, and best-selling author Todd Buchholz provided a macro look at the current economic landscape; and, in addition to a legal and compliance town hall session on issues facing consumer reporting agencies, Attorney & Founder of FranzĆ©n and Salzano, Loretta Salzano, addressed compliance topics in an engaging presentation on her top ten consumer lending legal & compliance concerns and their solutions.

MeridianLink CMO Charlie Lee holds the Olympic Torch alongside keynote speaker and Olympic medalist Janet Evans.

Between keynote presentations, each dayā€™s agenda was packed with informative product tracks and insightful sessions. Attendees commented on their appreciation for the Vendor Showcase, where nearly 50 partners provided more information about how they work hand-in-hand with MeridianLink to deliver important solutions that help customers in their digital transformation efforts.

Finally, Swimmer and Four-time Gold Medalist Janet Evans reminded us that our biggest goals and most fulfilling changes take consistent work, dogged determination, and an ability to shut out the voices telling us why things canā€™t happen as we break down old barriers and set new records.

In his closing session, our company Co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer Tim Nguyen observed the conference themes that stood out to him:

  • Taking Automation to the Next Level
  • Using Technology for Deeper Connection with Members and Customers
  • Data-Driven Personalization in Lending

If a picture is worth a thousand words, then a video must be worth at least a thousand more. This brief film covers conference highlights and already has us counting down the days until User Forum 2023. Save the date for May 8ā€“11 at Disneyland!
