MeridianLink Mortgage recognized as Leader in G2 Summer 2026 Loan Origination Reports

MeridianLink® Mortgage is bringing the heat this summer, being recognized as a Leader twice in the G2 Summer 2026 reports!

Among these reports are the Grid® Report for Loan Origination and the Momentum Grid® Report for Loan Origination, in which we were honored to earn the Leader and Momentum Leader titles, respectively.

Mortgage lenders are deep in the process of modernizing operations to deliver better borrower experiences, smoother backend workflows, and continuous growth. These processes hinge on selecting the right technology partner to make them happen and receiving these G2 designations reflects our deep role in those achievements.

More specifically, these Leader designations reflect market outperformance in both platform adoption and customer satisfaction. The Grid® Report for Loan Origination evaluates top loan origination software based on verified user satisfaction, features, and market presence, while the Momentum Grid® Report for Loan Origination recognizes the solutions moving faster than the rest of the market.

Taking these criteria alongside G2’s verified customer reviews and our own verified customer results paint the full picture: MeridianLink Mortgage is the solution of choice for lenders nationwide. We have the stats to back that up, too:

Powering over one million home loan applications

In 2025, MeridianLink Mortgage processed over one million home loan applications. That’s all thanks to our scalable, open-API architecture, rules-based workflow and underwriting automation, and automatic compliance updates, all of which enable lenders to take on higher volume without slowdowns or strain.

Accelerating growth at a record pace, in more ways than one

MeridianLink Mortgage customers increased mortgage volume 38% year over year in 2025, far ahead of the Mortgage Bankers Association’s reported 19% industry growth in that same period.

That’s not the only growth we saw last year, either. MeridianLink Mortgage signed over 60 new customers in 2025, representing nearly 70% year-over-year growth and the third consecutive year of record customer expansion. In a market full of choice, lenders are consistently choosing us for speed, accuracy, cost, and experience.

Deploying implementations faster

Our team deployed 39 new mortgage loan origination system implementations in 2025, with many being completed in less than 60 days. Between modular, scalable technology and a reliable, dedicated Support team, we’re helping lenders go live faster so they can get applicants to “Yes” faster.

Maintaining a modern platform

Within MeridianLink Mortgage and across the entire MeridianLink® One integrated platform, we take “modern” seriously. We perform automatic, periodic updates through our cloud-based infrastructure to ensure lenders always have the best solution available to them, with some recent updates including:

  • Customizable loan application templates that let teams define and manage standardized templates, reducing manual setup and maintaining consistency.
  • Centralized borrower and team communications accessible through an enhanced Originator Portal conversation log, eliminating multiple logins and keeping all interactions in one place.
  • Automated application comparison data reuse that saves comparison data and reapply it when matching against electronic documents, reducing decisioning time while sharpening accuracy.

And we’re just getting warmed up, since we’re increasing our innovation and service investments by 300% to keep improving lending experiences and outcomes.

Those innovations include a major modernization milestone coming later this year: embedded AI agents.

In May 2026, we unveiled MeridianLink Intelligence, or Millie, which will embed role-based AI agents directly into MeridianLink One to streamline workflows, increase application-to-funding speed, and improve customer and employee experiences.

Unlike point solutions that automate isolated tasks, will work across the entire lending lifecycle, executing within your workflows instead of simply analyzing data. And since MeridianLink is the system of record—with over 30 years of experience, deep workflow integration, built-in compliance logic, and access to real operational data—this capability is baked into the foundation, not added on.

The first AI agent, Doc Agent for MeridianLink Mortgage, will deploy at the end of 2026 to:

  • Translate underwriting conditions into clear, borrower-ready requests.
  • Pre-screen documents for completeness, quality, and relevance and the point of submission.
  • Extract and validate key data against loan requirements, then apply it directly into the loan application, eliminating manual rekeying.

Our Senior Vice President of MeridianLink Mortgage, JP Kelly, said it best: “Mortgage lenders are under enormous pressure to do more with less. Our momentum in the market reflects a simple reality: Lenders are choosing MeridianLink because we deliver the technology, scale, and expertise needed to win in today’s mortgage market.”

Being honored as a Leader and Momentum Leader by G2 just further confirms our commitment to mortgage lenders’ growth now and into the future.
