Meet Millie: AI embedded within the MeridianLink platform

This quarter, we’re thrilled to introduce MeridianLink Intelligence. Millie brings role-based AI agents directly into MeridianLink® One to streamline workflows, increase application-to-funding speed, and improve both customer and employee experiences.

Unlike point solutions that automate isolated tasks, Millie works across the full lending lifecycle—executing work directly within your workflows, not just analyzing data. And because MeridianLink is the system of record—with over 30 years of experience, deep workflow integration, embedded compliance logic, and access to real operational data across the lending lifecycle—this capability is built into the foundation, not added on.

That distinction is critical.

AI in lending is rapidly reshaping how financial institutions get work done. While investment is accelerating, most organizations remain stuck in pilot mode, struggling to translate early experimentation into a cohesive strategy that delivers real operational impact. A wave of startups promises automation, but without deep integration into your data and workflows, those solutions quickly fall short. The real differentiator is no longer access to AI, it’s how seamlessly AI fits into the systems that power your lending operations.

Doc Agent: The first of a growing set of task agents

The first agent, Doc Agent for MeridianLink® Mortgage, was unveiled to an audience of 1,400 at the MeridianLink® LIVE conference. General availability is planned for Q4 2026 with Doc Agent for MeridianLink® Consumer  following in early 2027. This marks first step in developing a suite of task-specific agents to automate and optimize work across every stage of lending.

Doc Agent for MeridianLink® Mortgage targets one of the most persistent sources of operational friction in lending. Document collection, review, and management is often slowed by unclear requirements, manual interpretation, and back-and-forth exchanges that drag out every file.

Doc Agent changes that by embedding intelligence directly into the workflow:

  • Translating underwriting conditions into clear, borrower-ready requests
  • Pre-screening documents for completeness, quality, and relevance at the point of submission
  • Extracting key data and applies it directly into the loan application

Instead of documents triggering review cycles and rework, they move through a structured, intelligent flow that reduces ambiguity from the start:

  • Borrower uploads required documents (e.g., pay stubs, bank statements)
  • AI instantly evaluates quality, completeness, and relevance
  • Key data is extracted and validated against loan requirements
  • Clear accept/reject feedback is generated immediately
  • Approved data is automatically available for direct application entry, eliminating manual rekeying

For mortgage teams, that means fewer manual handoffs, fewer rework cycles, and faster movement from submission to decision.

Embedded AI in lending for faster, smarter operations

Lending teams often lose time to repetitive manual tasks that distract from more strategic, high-impact work. According to MeridianLink customer insights, institutions believe AI will have the greatest impact in three key areas: accelerating workflows and operational efficiency (46%), reducing fraud risk (21%), and improving the application experience to help reduce applicant drop-off (15%).

MeridianLink Intelligence helps lending teams tackle these challenges by automating repeatable, high-volume tasks within the lending workflow. By reducing manual effort and streamlining operations, institutions can move faster, improve efficiency, and create better experiences for both borrowers and teams.

The result is measurable impact across the lending journey:

  • Higher conversion rates
  • Better customer outcomes
  • Improved borrower experiences
  • More time for teams to focus on relationships and growth
