As Florida’s third largest credit union, Space Coast Credit Union has built its reputation on being a financial watchdog for more than 685,000 members. When it came to growth, the credit union knew it had a problem hiding in plain sight. Its existing membership base represented a significant untapped opportunity, but they didn’t have the tools to reach them.
Marketing teams relied on broad segmentation and manual analysis, making it difficult to identify which members actually qualified for loan and credit offers. Campaigns were time-consuming to build, hard to optimize, and nearly impossible to measure with confidence. Without behavioral triggers or closed-loop reporting, the credit union had limited visibility into channel performance or true campaign ROI, leaving decisions driven more by intuition than evidence.

Using consumer insights to identify qualified members, the team deployed personalized URLs (PURLs) with pre-filled applications across coordinated direct mail and email channels. A/B testing helped optimize channel timing and performance.
The results

MeridianLink Engage gave Space Coast Credit Union a clear line of sight between marketing activity and business results. Credit card penetration increased meaningfully, with card value reaching $43.1M in Q2 2025, and auto loan balances remained strong across quarters.
It also enabled the credit union to establish a repeatable cross-sell framework that reduced manual effort and improved offer relevance. Staggering direct mail and email delivery strengthened conversions, and simplified QR codes drove measurable increases in new credit card accounts and auto loans.
