MeridianLink Product Updates: Supporting Growth Through Enhanced Efficiency

Building long-term consumer relationships and, by extension, continuous growth depends on efficient experiences. For financial institutions, delivering that efficiency depends on having the right tools in place. That’s why MeridianLink® is committed to continued innovations that make it easier for our customers to facilitate business with their customers and members.

Our most recent updates focus on helping you accelerate and scale your digital acquisition efforts by:

  • Improving conversion rates through smarter consumer applications and increased automated decisions
  • Decreasing abandonment and enabling cleaner handoffs with streamlined workflow tools and omnichannel consumer engagement
  • Reducing manual work and offering more self-service options for customers to free up internal resources

Here are the highlights of our latest MeridianLink product updates:

Unlocking Digital Growth

The highly anticipated prefill capability is now available to select MeridianLink® Access users. This new feature provides instant identity verification and automatic population of personal data, streamlining transactions while enhancing security and reducing fraud.

Customers interested in participating in the pilot program should contact their Account Executive. General availability for customers is planned for the coming months.

The refreshed MeridianLink® Mortgage Originator Portal now allows lenders to more easily process mortgage loans through an updated information architecture that provides an intuitive user experience. It introduces a modern, unified navigation shell for both the pipeline and loan editor that allows users to easily switch between pages. Additional updates are scheduled to release this year to modernize key workflows such as loan creation, closing costs, document upload, and eDocs, ensuring an omnichannel experience across desktop, tablet, and mobile.

Unleashing Efficiency

MeridianLink® Opening now supports instant approvals and declines for deposit accounts, providing consumers with faster, clearer decisions when opening deposit accounts. Qualified applicants can complete in-branch or digital applications with minimal delays, while those who don’t qualify receive immediate decisions. This update eliminates uncertainty, reduces wait times, and delivers a more transparent, respectful account-opening experience across all channels.

Faster Integrations Through Data Connect for Marketplace

MeridianLink® Consumer and Opening can now securely share mutual customer data with MeridianLink® Marketplace partners through Data Connect for Marketplace. This streamlines data exchange, accelerates integrations, and allows customers to realize value from new partners more quickly.

Self-Service Collections

MeridianLink® Collect now integrates with Tangenesis Self-Service Collections. This enables consumers to manage collections independently through their devices, reducing staff involvement while improving the consumer experience.

Personalization That Powers Loyalty

A new omnichannel reengagement tool is now in pilot with select MeridianLink Access customers. Financial institutions can reengage applicants—whether they started in-branch or online—by sending a unique URL that allows consumers to resume unfinished applications. This capability helps reduce abandonment, increase completion rates, and eliminate the need for consumers to restart applications.

Supporting Customer Communication Requirements

To help customers comply with new federal requirements tied to the Made-in-America interest deduction, MeridianLink launched a Batch VIN ID Tool for MeridianLink Consumer and DecisionLender® customers. The tool quickly identifies 2025 vehicle loans eligible for tax deductions using batch VIN checks, eliminating manual lookups and custom scripting.

  • Admins can now configure separate user rights and permissions for three types of MeridianLink Opening deposit products: Personal Accounts, Special Accounts, and Commercial Accounts.
  • Duplicate denial reasons can now be removed when automatically decisioning applications originating via API (e.g., MeridianLink Access) in the Modern Experience interface.
